Changing Platforms

CHANGING PLATFORMS

Campaign Event, Identity, Print, UI/UX

BRIEF:

Create a campaign event for a company with an image problem with the purpose of reconciling their public image

SOLUTION:

I chose to create an event for the NYC MTA transit authority, who is notorious for communication issues and failing, outdated infrastructure.

“Changing Platforms” marks the opening night of the MTA’s new community space, created out of the oldest trains in transit that have officially been replaced.

The visual imagery for the event was inspired by off-tone colors of the MTA's subway lines,
and patterns and shapes found in transit stations and trains.

The abstract shapes and pieces represent the concept of "changing platforms"- using old trains and pieces to craft a new community space in the New York spirit of putting things to good use, building networks, and celebrating new foundations.

The UX User Journey in the "Changing Platforms" app allows users to discover upcoming events and activities at the MTA's new community space, while also giving them the opportunity to "favorite" and reserve spots to certain events through their individual profile.
